Cooperative "Zeskho" operating in the highest point among cooperatives in Georgia. Zeskho is a village in Lentekhi district with a population of 5-6 families, and in winter the village is almost completely is empty.
The cooperative is producing figh quolity potatoes.
Potato cultivation for "Zsekho" is an old tradition that has been transferred from family members , as the potatoe breeding was the main activity here. However, it was "wild practical experience". In addition, it was very hard to develop business with manual work of physical labor. Mechanization needed for land processing was delivered througt the cooperative development program. The cooperative was given the necessary equipment: tractor, cultivator, potato gatherer.
As a result of involvement in the trining program, the cooperative obtained more theoretical knowledge, which prompted the development of activity.
Now the cooperative, which consists of 9 members, is trying to do a good job and fights with difficulties. The main difficulty is the strict natural conditions of the mountain, but with enthusiasm and help, the cooperative tries to overcome it. This enthusiasm "Zsekho" helps in maintaining a population in one of the highest settlements in Georgia to turn them into a source of income.
Members of the cooperative think that their activities should be attractive to the local population to engage in cooperative activities and adjoining villages so that the migrants from the village could be reduced and the Zeso do not cope with the population.
