Nino Khutsishvili is a mother of young children from the village of Toloshi in Aspindza municipality. Since there is no one employed in the family, Nino always wanted to help her family with additional activities and decided to take part in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women.
As part of the project, Nino purchased a cow and a calve and actively started producing dairy products, particularly cheese. Nino exchanges her natural and delicious products locally in other products and is very happy with the result.
In the future, she plans to develop and expand the business. To do this, she still needs to buy additional cows.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
