Tea Tsutsashvili is a mother of young children from the village of Tsinubani in Akhmeta Municipality. Since there is no tableware rental service in Pankisi Valley, Tea came up with the idea to start a small business and offer tableware rental service to the people living in the valley.
To implement her idea, Tea participated in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased all the relevant dishes. Tea offers dishes of different sizes, shapes and purposes to her customers. Now, during various events or gatherings, the residents of Pankisi Valley no longer have to go to the Akhmeta district as they rent them from Tea.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
