Irine Gvajaia is a mother of young children from the village of Khaishi, Tetritskaro Municipality. She bakes very tasty products including cakes and always wanted to have her own bakery. To implement her initiative Irine participated in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased the necessary inventory for her bakery.
Irene offers ecologically clean products to the customers. Her house is located close to Khaishi School and therefore students, teachers and the school administration are her potential customers.
Irene`s "Delicious World" offers a variety of services to the customers: Khachapuri, Lobiani, cakes, pies, pizza, etc. In addition, she has arranged a nice corner in her own yard where guests have the opportunity to sit down, relax and taste delicious baked food and dessert.
The project “Women`s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
