Sofiko Tsartsidze is an entrepreneur from the village of Chiauri, Lagodekhi municipality. She always wanted to open a fast food restaurant and offer quality service to the locals.
To implement the initiative Sofiko participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchases the necessary equipment for the fast food restaurant. She offers her customers a variety of choices: “Khachapuri”, pie, “Lobiani” and more.
Sofiko has quite interesting plans for the future and great expectations as well. She wants to open a small, open-air cafe. For this, she needs additional resources, including equipment.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
