Marine Dzamukashvili lives in the village of Ruispiri, Telavi Municipality. She always wanted to have her own source of income and help her family. Her sister owns a shop in the same village and gave Marine some space to start a business. To implement the initiative Marine participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women. With the help of the project, she purchased the inventory and put them in her sister’s store to sell.
Marine offers a variety of choices to her customers: plates of different colors, sizes and purposes, cups, knives, gift sets, etc.
Marine wants to expand in the future and add different plates and dishes, linens. For this she needs additional finances.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
