Tamar Shubitidze is a mother of three children from the village of Sviri in Akhaltsikhe municipality. She is an active woman and always cares of her family’s well-being.
For additional financial resources Tamar decided to participate in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and opened the guesthouse. Tamar`s guesthouse is located in a tourist area and is quite big. Tamar can welcome several families at the same time. She is very hospitable and always focused on customer satisfaction.
Tamar wants to expand in the future. The guesthouse is on the first floor of a two-story house, but Tamar also wants to renovate the second floor. For this, she needs some finances.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
