Inga Muladze and Shorena Metreveli live in the village of Asureti, Tetritskaro municipality. Due to the lack of self-care services in the village, locals have to go to Tbilisi or Tetritskaro center. Therefore, Inga and Shorena came up with the idea to offer nail care and laser therapist services to the villagers by visiting them to their places.
To implement their initiative Inga and Shorena participated in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased the needed equipment to offer their service. In addition, with the framework of the same project, the girls attended training courses and gradually began to start their business.
Inga and Shorena offer safe and quality service to their customers. They also want to rent space in the future and develop their business.
The project “Women`s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
