Amalia Kurbanova is an entrepreneur from the village of Karajala in Telavi Municipality, who bakes bread in her own bakery. To expand her business she participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased the necessary inventory for the bakery.
Amalia's bread is very tasty and she has many orders for various holidays. Her bakery is located on central road and her customers are always satisfied with the service.
In the future, Amalia wants to develop the business particularly bake sell delicious cakes, cookies, khachapuri so on. For this, she need additional finances.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
