Rita Daloghlalian is an entrepreneur from the village of Vachiani in Akhalkalaki Municipality. She is involved in agriculture and produces various types of natural products: beets, cabbage, potatoes, beans, cucumbers.
Rita and her husband worked hard to succeed, and in order to make the job easier, Rita decided to help her family and participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women. With the help of the project she bought a small tractor.
Rita sells her products in the center of Akhalkalaki and sometimes in the Tbilisi market. Her customers are always satisfied with the service. In the future, Rita wants to buy certified potato seeds and develop the production. To implement this, Rita needs additional finances.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
