“Gveso’s Farm” is producing heathy goat milk products. Cooperative was established in 2017 in the historic village of Gveso in Tsageri Municipality. Currently cooperative unites 5 farmers, including 3 women. “Gvesos Ferma” is a new member of the Cooperative Fund and joined the union in early 2020.
Goat's milk products have many useful and healing features. Cheese, cottage cheese, Nadughi produced by the cooperative are biologically clean and are very popular among costumers.
“Gveso’s Farm” currently has 300 goats, initially purchased in the framework of the EU's ENPARD program, and then has breed the cattle by itself. Under the state program, the cooperative was provided with a milk processing line and managed to build the factory by co-financing.
The strict climate of the high mountainous region is one of the challenges for “Gveso’s Farm” however the cooperative is successfully coping with it.
“Gveso’s Farm” successfully sells its products in several shops and restaurants in Tbilisi. The cooperative also started mean production since 2020. They plan to increase number of cattle in the farm and improve the variety of goat.
“Gveso’s Farm” is focused on to adopt innovations and trying to develop businesses based on modern technologies and support their community.
The cooperative has huge plans in future. It is important for its members to increase income with a lower cost. Its members enthusiastically participating in a variety of projects to improve their knowledge and gain more experience in their field. They have also attending the training in this area and focusing their skills development.
