Gulnara Karumidze lives in the village of Khertvisi, Aspindza Municipality. She always wanted to start her own business and have extra income. That is why she participated in a new initiative of the UN Women and the Taso Foundation and was able to purchase the necessary equipment for the cafe-bar business.
Gulnara’s Cafe-Bar called "Mate-Bar" is located in a very tourist zone, in an open space. Currently, her customers include only the local population, but after the activation of tourists, Gulnara believes she will have more customers and the business will be developed step by step. "Mate-Bar" offers customers a very pleasant environment and delicious cakes, baked products, coffee and tea.
In the future, as Gulnara’s business is developed successfully she will employ local women.
