Tamar Murjikneli is a mother of 4 children from the village of Toloshi in Aspindza municipality. Her main concern is the well-being of the family. So, to help her family Tamar participated in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women.
As part of the project, Tamar bought a cow and calve and became actively involved in dairy production. Tamar mainly produces cheese and sells it to locals and relatives. Tamar's products are natural and very tasty.
In the futue, Tamar wants to develop and expand her production.Since her family is quite large, she has not enough dairy product to sell them . Therefore, in order to expand the business, Tamar needs another cow.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
