Tamila Geladze is a woman entrepreneur from the village of Maradisi, Marneuli municipality. Tamila mainly produces lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli and other vegetables. To make her production efficient, Tamila has greenhouses, which are quite expensive to arrange. That is why she participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased the cellophane to cover the greenhouse.
Currently, Tamila sells her products inTbilisi market and consumers are satisfied with her service as well. Tamila wants to expand and grow her business in the future and for this, she needs additional seeds.
The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
