Name : "Mano`s Farm"

Manana Lobzhanidze lives in the village of Vardisubani, Lagodekhi municipality. Her main activity is poultry and always wanted to expand it. So, she participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women and purchased the appropriated equipment to arrange the farm.

Manana sells chickens in the local market and among the villagers and city-dwellers as well. She feeds her poultry with organic food and the customers are always satisfied with Manana’s products. In addition, she sells eggs too.

In future, Manana plans to diversify the business, and produce and sell quails. Also, she wants to sell little chickens. For this, Manana need an incubator.

The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
