Name : "Eko`s Farm"

Eka Gongadze is a young entrepreneur who pursues poultry farming in the village of Kartubani, Lagodekhi Municipality. Eka is an active woman, always wanted to have her own business and help her family. So, Eka participated in the Women’s Economic Empowerment Project supported by UN Women and purchased chickens for arranging the farm.

Eka’s chickens are on organic feed and she always takes care of their health. As chickens grow up, Eka plans to sell their meat and eggs. In future she also wants to expand the business and collaborate with various stores / institutions.

 

The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
