The main work for the cooperative "Agrolikhauri" is hazelnut processing and production. Cooperative is building nut processing factory, the necessary equipment they got from the project After engaging in the cooperatives program, the cooperative received a tractor and processing equipment.
After the full functioning of the factory, the cooperative will enlarge their business. With the necessary equipment, the hazelnut is processed and ready for selling. The cooperative plans to sell the products on international market as well.
Haelnut plantations were damaged by the insects and it largely reduced the profits of the cooperative, but Agrolikhauri hopes for the better future to gain more production from their territories. In the future, the cooperative plans to produce different products from hazelnut. For this, they'll need a special small equipment, which, along with the better factory, will facilitate the full production process.
