The cooperative "Samegobro 2014 " is located in the mountainous village of Chkhakaura in the Chokhatauri district and produces the trout in a natural environment. The farm has been in existence since 2005. It was true that the location was perfect for the trout business, but the development of farming could not be long due to lack of technical and financial resources.
In 2014, in the framework of the ENPARD project, cooperative was avarded with specific car for trout distribution, additional fish pools were held, a fry incubator was and cottage for tourists were built. Creating a cooperative made it easy for the farmers to work hard and produce the trout. "Samegobro 2014" is the official supplier of several selling facilities.
The demands and needs have increased. Cooperative members think how to expand the farm to meet the increased demand for fish and employ more people in the farm.
The big advantage of the cooperative is the natural environment and the pure trout that is grown here is naturally source of water. This is why there is a great demand for the products of the cooperative.
The main difficulty is the way to the area that needs repair.
In order to become cooperative stable supplier, it is necessary to have a continuous cycle of production. To achieve this goal, the cooperative plans to arrange additional pools.
Members of "Samegobro 2014" also plan to improve tourism infrastructure, build and arrange additional cottages. Tourists will have the opportunity to relax in the beautiful environment, tasting the trout grown in natural conditions.
